We have just completed our 4 day training in Crawley with a group of fantastic youth workers, who are working with young people in a variety of contexts from delivering lessons and assemblies, to small group work and pastoral care. The training has equipped them to have conversations and be able to run inspiring sessions on self-esteem, relationships, porn, sexting, pregnancy and contraception, STIs, HIV and much more with the young people they work with.
On the last day of the training, the students took to the floor to deliver presentations based on what they had learnt and they did a fantastic job – we are very proud of them!
Here is some of their feedback from the course:
“The training has been a really good balance of developing my own knowledge and skills and learning how to engage with young people.”
“Every area has been helpful. I have learnt so much.”
“I know so much more now! My skills as a facilitator have been enhanced too.”
“The resources are amazing. The training is dynamic and relevant.”
“I would recommend this training. If youth practitioners are thinking about or are already carrying out lessons on relationships, self-esteem and sex, then do this training.”
“Really worth the time and money. It’s important to have as many people as possible trained in this area.”
