Championing healthy relationships

and sexual wellbeing

Please give whatever you can afford

It’s difficult for us right now because of the COVID19 situation, just as it is for many. It's impacted our donors as well as our ability to provide relationships and sex education (RSE) training and lessons face-to-face.

We acknowledge that we are all experiencing the same storm, but we are not all in the same boat. Some of you may actually be saving on transport costs by not going into work and all of us are staying in, so some people are finding they have more disposable income available than normal.

It would be wonderful if you would consider giving to our work at this time - whatever you can afford - to support the young people we educate directly to improve their confidence and relationships, and increase and develop their knowledge about sexual health, as well as helping us train up more educators to reach even more young people.

We certainly do not want to stretch you further if you are already feeling fraught, but, if you are in the fortunate position to be able to help us, that would be awesome!

You can donate directly by clicking one of the buttons below, or you can send us a cheque (made out to acet UK) to Abbey House, Abbey Green, Chester, CH1 2JH.

Perhaps you are stuck at home, feeling that there is little that you can do to help anyone right now, but that just isn’t true!

If you are unable to give financially at this time, then please would you tell your friends about us? We want to reach as many young people as we can, but we can only do that with your help. Please would you introduce us to your teaching friends or anyone who works in education, youth groups, churches or community centres - in fact, anyone who has a heart for young people?!

Our team has been working incredibly hard to take all our courses online so that we can continue championing healthy relationships and improving sexual wellbeing. Twelve new people are currently being trained to become accredited relationships and sex educators, which is incredibly exciting, and we have another online accredited course scheduled for June/July.

We also have teacher training INSET days coming up in May and June and are still working online in some schools, where some of them are running lessons to the normal timetable, but just online, almost as if nothing has changed! Amazing!

In a time when many are struggling due to reduced income, we are so grateful that we have been able to keep teaching young people about what it is to have great relationships, be that with their families or friends.

Many of our international partners are also weathering the same storm with their communities. Some are finding ways to distribute food to those in need, others are helping local clinics with testing and providing soap and hand sanitisers. We have heard amazing stories of community involvement and people “going the extra mile.”

We can all play our part and are so grateful for you and yours!

Thank you for listening, thank you for reading – and, don’t forget, we would LOVE to hear from you! Even if you have nothing much to say, but just want someone to talk to - give us a call, drop us a line.

Take care, stay safe and thank you!
