The Big Give Christmas Challenge 2025

The Big Give Christmas Challenge is now over!

54 people took part, raising a STUPENDOUS £17,212 in one week!

A most heartfelt thank you to everyone who made this possible, including our wonderful pledgers who provided the matched funding.

We can't thank everyone enough for giving what they could, supporting, sharing, and fundraising this Christmas.

If you didn't get a chance to take part in the Big Give but would still like to support our work this Christmas please do still give. Our Big Give target was £6,000 lower this year due to less matched funding being available, so we still need funding for these vital projects.

Your gift would be very much appreciated - the only difference is your gift will now no longer be doubled. Please give through the donate button below.

THE MONEY RAISED WILL:

PROTECT CHILDREN FROM ABUSE & EARLY PREGNANCY by empowering them through interactive, inspiring & memorable education workshops to maintain control of their bodies, & recognise, challenge & report child abuse & resist coercion.

PREVENT TEENAGERS FROM ACQUIRING HIV through age-appropriate sexual health education, HIV testing, counselling & medication support.

EMPOWER COMMUNITIES TO BE PROTECTORS OF CHILDREN through better parenting & safeguarding training, & peer education programmes.

PREVENT TEENAGERS FROM SELLING SEX TO SURVIVE by supporting at risk teen mums with vocational & business skills training & work placements, so they can build a sustainable income stream to provide for their children, or return to education.

PROTECT UNBORN BABIES FROM HIV by supporting pregnant women with antenatal care & HIV prevention services.

Grace

Grace's story

“I am an AIDS orphan. My uncle said my HIV was caused by a curse & replaced my medication with traditional herbal medicine. When I got very ill, ACET Nigeria encouraged him to let me go to the Massiah Care Foundation. Now I am healthy, am going to school & have a community that cares for me.”

Maita & her child

Maita's story

“I was pregnant at 17. It caused a rift between my parents & the future was bleak. But at Shining Star, I realised I’m not alone. I learnt about contraceptives & HIV & share this knowledge with friends. They helped me do Auto Mechanics at college & get a job placement. I now know I am equal to a man.”

Hom

Hom's story

“When an older man groomed me into sending nude pictures online, ACET Thailand helped me report it to escape his blackmail & stop him doing it to other children. They acted as mediator with my family & have taught me how to protect myself & given me the confidence to not put myself in risky situations.”
