Over Easter, acet UK held an exhibition stand at Spring Harvest Skegness. It was our second year of exhibiting at the Christian festival - and it was fantastic. On our stand, we were telling people about our training for youth workers, volunteers and parents; updating people on our work overseas; and selling our brand new #isitOK? sexting resource (made in partnership with Rachel Gardner from Youthscape).
Spring Harvest has such a lovely relaxed vibe that we were able to have those really long and deep conversations that get to the heart of issues. We were encouraged to hear about Christians, from all over the UK, meeting the needs of young people and adults to tackle issues of low self-esteem, unhealthy relationships and misuse of technology. Equally, we were struck by the number of Christians who expressed a desire to help tackle the issue but who did not feel equipped with the right knowledge and were hungry to learn about helpful approaches. We are very excited to offer bespoke training days or evenings to organisations and churches to help them grow in confidence. We know that many adults just need a bit more knowledge to make a big difference in the lives of young people.
At Spring Harvest, Gareth had been invited to provide a workshop for young people about healthy relationships from a Biblical perspective. It was a wonderful opportunity for us to share our heart for young people to embrace God’s desire for them to hold a healthy view on relationships. If you would be interested to hear more about the sessions we can provide for young people, or training for adults, please get in contact.
We have put together a short video montage of our time exhibiting below, attending the Spring Harvest Big Top …. and walking on the beach!
