Our Esteem network of RSE educators reached over 66,000 young people in the 2024/2025 school year. This is in addition to the 7,638 students reached by our own Esteem team! The network currently has educators across the UK, as well as in Turkey, India, Cyprus, the Netherlands, Slovakia, Lithuania, the Czech Republic, Austria and South Africa.

Bradley's story

“Imagine if you couldn’t understand what people’s facial expressions meant, so you couldn’t tell if they were being friendly or angry with you. That’s the reality for 10-year-old Bradley, who has ASD* and ADHD**.

(*Autism Spectrum Disorder/Diagnosis **Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder)

I’m Julie, a teacher in a primary SEND* unit. Bradley is bright and alert when he’s focused, with a keen interest in facts about animals and science. He’s very good at challenging what he is told! And he can think outside the box.

Phoebe's story

“If no one tells you about the blood, then you start your periods when you are only 9, it can be terrifying.

I’m Ali, a teaching assistant in a unit for children with ASD*. (*Autism Spectrum Disorder/Diagnosis).

Phoebe attends the unit for half the school day – she is 9 and autistic. She spends the other half of her time in the main school but is alone a lot as she worries the children will tease her about her autism.
